DELIVER

The DELIVER project is a 4-year initiative launched in August 2022, with the mission to improve the quality and safety of oral healthcare for all. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme (Grant Agreement No. 101057077), DELIVER brings together academic institutions, healthcare organisations, ministries of health, and non-profits to co-create practical tools that strengthen the safety, accessibility, and person-centred quality of oral care. At its core is the DELIVER Quality Improvement Model—a blueprint designed to drive lasting improvements across all levels of oral healthcare delivery.

In line with the 2021 WHO Oral Health Resolution, DELIVER addresses the urgent need for accessible, high-quality oral care across the EU. Currently, many citizens face limited access to adequate oral healthcare, leading to poorer health outcomes, increased healthcare costs, and inefficiencies in service delivery. DELIVER tackles this challenge by fostering collaborative dialogue among key stakeholders across sectors and systems, including citizens, patients, providers, and policymakers.

By creating a synergistic problem-solving ecosystem, the project seeks to advance quality and safety at the practice, community, and policy levels. Its innovative, co-produced solutions and use of technology not only aim to reduce inequalities and improve patient outcomes but also offer a model that can be adapted across other areas of healthcare.

The EU DELIVER project holds the potential to transform oral healthcare in Europe, ensuring access to sustainable, innovative, and high-quality services that enhance the well-being of populations across the continent.
