Move to Improve

We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest campaign, ‘Move to Improve’, a new initiative aimed at encouraging and supporting a healthier and more active lifestyle in our population.
As we mark World Obesity Day, we recognize the need to address the rising obesity rates and their impact on our health. Physical activity plays a pivotal role in preventing and managing obesity, improving overall well-being, and promoting longer, healthier lives.

Despite this, for some people engaging in regular physical activity may seem challenging. That is why, through this campaign, we will be showcasing how regular physical activity can be incorporated into our daily routine in an accessible and enjoyable manner.

‘Move to Improve’ provides simple and practical ways for people of different ages and abilities to get active. With material ranging from recorded videos demonstrating easy-to-follow exercises at home to a Physical Activity Map featuring walking, hiking trails and outdoor gyms in local areas, this initiative makes movement more achievable for everyone.

This campaign not only focuses on the individual’s well-being, but its also about strengthening our communities. Physical activity fosters social connections, boosts mental health, and enhances our collective quality of life. By collaborating with local councils, organizations, and community groups, we aim to make it easier than ever for people to be part of this active movement.

On World Obesity Day, we encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources available through ‘Move to Improve’. Together, we can take small but meaningful steps toward a healthier, more active future—one step at a time.
