Gap Analysis Report

At the end of 2025, the MIDISS IDCU team engaged with stakeholders across Malta to conduct a gap analysis of data sources required for the proposed Integrated Public Health Surveillance IT infrastructure of MIDISS. The aim of this new IT solution is to support the development of a robust, secure, and integrated system that enables real-time monitoring, early detection, and effective management of infectious diseases, in line with national and international reporting requirements. The gap analysis explored current challenges across data sources—including data access, quality, and security—while also identifying future needs and opportunities for integration with the MIDISS platform.
