As of 27th October 2025 the list of high/very high risk TB countries has been updated and certain changes have been made.
Kindly refer to the relevant links below to see the new list and ensure that your application is submitted accordingly.
Foreign students, aged 18 years and older, who are studying in Malta for more than 3 months, are required to undergo Health Screening.
Kindly note that the forms have been updated.
Effective 29/06/2026, only the new forms will be accepted.
Submissions using the old forms will not be processed.
Health Screening is to be carried out within a private clinic.

• At a private clinic in Malta.
Who must undergo health screening?
All foreign students, regardless of their field of study, must complete a health screening if they are staying over 3 months.
1. Students NOT studying for a healthcare profession: click to form
• If from a low-risk TB country:
* Complete Section C: Vaccines
* Attach vaccination card
* No Chest X-ray needed
• If from a high-risk or very high-risk TB country:
* Complete Section C: Chest X-Ray-Attach the Chest X-ray report
* Complete Section C: Vaccines-Attach vaccination card
2. Students studying for a Healthcare profession: click to form
• If from a low-risk TB country:
*Complete Section C: Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C Testing and Vaccination Requirements
*Attach the vaccination card and blood investigation
*No Chest X-ray needed
• If from a high-risk or very high-risk TB country:
*Complete Section C: Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C Testing and Vaccination Requirements
*Attach the vaccination card and blood investigation.
*Complete Section C: Chest X-Ray-Attach the Chest X-ray report
Failure to Comply with Health Screening Requirements
All documentation, medical examinations, tests, and vaccinations required as part of the health screening process are mandatory.Therefore, if, for whatever reason, the required documentation is not submitted or if an applicant refuses to undergo, or is unable to undergo, any of the required medical investigations, or refuses to receive, or is unable to receive, any of the required vaccinations, the health screening application will not be approved.
